What We Do

Dispute Mediation Service is the only 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the greater Dallas community that provides dispute resolution services such as mediation, conciliation, and arbitration. Since 1981, we have successfully helped more than 250,000 individuals resolve their disputes and provided high-quality training for over 800 professional and volunteer mediators. We specialize in cases involving a maximum of three parties with a monetary amount in controversy of $50,000 or less (unless otherwise ordered by a judge).

Our mission is to provide affordable conflict resolution assistance to the greater Dallas community through mediation, education, training and referrals. Our vision is that mediation and other ADR services provided ara affordable, effective, and widely utilized to resolve conflict and disputes throughout the greater Dallas community.

Who We Serve

We serve the greater Dallas community with integrity, honesty, care and compassion. We uphold the highest ethical standards in helping people resolve conflict affordably and effectively, while fulfilling our mission in an organized and efficient manner with an emphasis on superior customer service.

Along with other services, DMS conducts court ordered mediations (cases in litigation) and community mediations (cases not in litigation).

Our ADR Professionals

Dispute Mediation Service has trained a corps of volunteer mediators, experienced in communication skills and conflict resolution techniques. Our mediators’ diverse backgrounds help clients develop realistic, workable solutions to problems. Their continued commitment in donating valuable time has been instrumental in helping us accomplish our mission.
